Maria Haralambis, B.S., M.Ed., NASM CES, FMT, Ph.D.(C) is a Professor, Social Media Manager, Pre-Pro Ballet Teacher, & CEO of The Dance Scientist, L.L.C. You can see her in the November 2023 Dance Magazine in the section “What Dancers Can Learn from Sports Performance Training.” She is an active member of organizations and serves 8 boards & committee positions. She holds certifications in Stott Pilates, NASM, NSLS, Acrobatic Arts, Rock Tape, and Cecchetti.

Over the past 14 years, she’s taught both Pre-Pro and recreational students. Her students have won awards and scholarships & some dance professionally. She teaches at studios, is a Social Media Manager for dance studios, a Professor for a Dance Kinesiology course, and a Professor for an online course on NDEO’s platform for Dance Educators. Scott’s always had a passion for fitness and learning how the different parts of the body interact – so it made sense that his journey saw him start as a Personal Trainer in 2009, earn a BS in Exercise Science in 2010 and then become a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014. 

He’s been working with athletes since becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy, but his focus shifted to performing artists when he met Nicole in 2016 and realized how much misinformation and misdirection was being given to Artistic Athletes. He saw the same, avoidable injuries time and time again, and knew typical ‘rehab’ just wasn’t enough. 

By shifting the focus to prevention and exploring his passion for performance enhancing resistance training, Scott is transforming the physical fitness and performance of Artistic Athletes everywhere.
